The blower motor is used in Dodge Magnum vehicles where it is used to force hot or cool air in the vehicle's cabin. In its working, it has a fan which blows air and drivers get to regulate the temperature as they deem fit. The general performance of the Blower Motor is dependent on blower motor controls which are designed to allow the user to adjust the amount of air that is being delivered into the car. Blower Motors of Dodge Magnum may be of different styles depending on the type of weather control system of the auto model. Some cars may use only one Blower Motor while others especially the larger models may include more than one blower motor in order to provide improved airstream in certain parts of the car. The main differentiation of these types is founded on the configuration and position, in which they can influence the generality of the heating and cooling systems in Dodge Magnum automobiles.

Dodge Magnum Blower Motor Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Install a Blower Motor on Dodge Magnum?
    A:
Place the blower motor into the HVAC housing and hold it in place with the four screws, tightened to 2.2 Nm (20 in. lbs.). Lock in the wire harness connector to the blower motor and install the retainers onto the motor next. After that, attach the instrument panel silencer on the left side of the panel next to the passenger door. Once everything else is done, put on the negative Battery Cable.
  • Q: How to Service and Repair a Blower Motor on Dodge Magnum?
    A:
On cars with air bags, begin the repair or service of the blower motor by removing and isolating the negative Battery Cable. Then wait two minutes for the air bag capacitor to completely discharge. Start by taking off the instrument panel silencer at the passenger side of the dashboard. After that, push in the locking tab on the wire harness connector and pull the wire harness connector (1) off the blower motor (2). Using a screwdriver, unscrew the four screws (3) holding the blower motor to the rest of the HVAC housing (4) and remove the motor. The blower motor (2) should be placed in the HVAC housing (4) and locked with the four screws (3), making sure the torque is 2.2 N.m (20 in. lbs.). Knock out the HVAC wire harness retainers first, then fit and lock in the wire harness connector on the blower motor before installing all the retainers. When this is done, screw in the instrument panel silencer and reconnect the negative battery cable.
