Take away the drive accessory belts at the start, move on to the crankshaft damper and then deal with the lower and upper torque struts. Put a jack under the engine, then lift it enough to keep the engine from falling. After that, unbolt the right
Engine Mount to engine mount bracket and remove it, next remove the
Power Steering Pump assembly and leave it somewhere safe and then remove the right engine mount bracket. Afterward, you should remove the
Timing Belt front cover. For this stage, start by removing the timing belt front cover and continue with the removal of the timing belt and its tensioner. Secure the camshaft sprocket in place using any of Special Tools C-4687 or the modified Adaptor C-4687-1 and after the bolt is removed, take off the camshaft sprocket. Unscrew both sides of the rear cover bolts and then remove the cover. Set up starting with the rear cover and tighten the bolts to 12 Nm (105 in. lbs.). After that, place the camshaft sprocket, fixing it with the right tools and tightening the attaching bolt to 101 Nm (75 ft. lbs.). After that, attach the
Timing Belt Tensioner assembly and timing belt and then install the front cover which should be tightened to 12 Nm (105 in. lbs.). Put the engine front mount bracket in place, then secure the right side engine mount to the engine mount bracket bolt and get rid of the jack from below the engine. After that, add back the power steering pump, insert the upper and lower engine torque struts and finish with reinstalling the crankshaft damper and all the
Drive Belts.
