A Windshield Washer Pump directs washer fluid from a reservoir to spray nozzles to allow the driver to keep the windshield clean. The electrical motor in the Windshield Washer Pump draws fluid through small hoses when a switch in the car is activated, develops pressure, and sends the washer fluid towards the glass, resulting in the removal of water, dirt, and debris by the wiper blades. Compact in size, the Windshield Washer Pump locks into the plastic reservoir and utilizes a spinning impeller driven by a sealed electric motor. Fewer moving parts help maintain a consistent flow, whatever the model Dodge Neon. The Windshield Washer Pump will run, but no fluid will go forward because either the wiring, hoses, or nozzles are cracked or clogged, showing how all these things are actually part and parcel of the same system. When the Windshield Washer Pump is silent or inactive, it may be due to power loss or internal wear. If it is dry wiping, your visibility is affected. For every Dodge Neon driver, it will allow for a clear view promptly to clear the windshield. Thus, the Dodge Neon windshield will not be obstructed.

Dodge Neon Windshield Washer Pump Parts and Q&A

  • Q:
How to Service and Repair a Windshield Washer Pump on Dodge Neon?
    A:
First, cut off the negative cable from the battery, then lift the vehicle using a hoist. Detach the wire connector from the reservoir pump and from the washer hose on the pump. Gently pull the pump from the grommet and the reservoir without touching or harming the reservoir and set the rubber grommet aside. If just replacing the pump, get rid of the old grommet; but if you're just replacing the reservoir, keep the old one. Remember to use a new grommet, place it in the reservoir, set the pump in position and snap it down without any cuts to the reservoir. Connect the pump's hose to the washer, add the water to the tank and then reconnect the wire from the pump to the reservoir. Take the vehicle down from the hoist and attach the cable from the battery's negative terminal.
