Before taking out the radiator on 3.7L/4.7L/5.7L vehicles, unplug the negative
Battery Cable. Until the system is cool, never loosen the plugs in the block or open the radiator draincock, as it may lead to serious burns from hot coolant. After draining the cooling system, take out the hose clamps and hoses from the radiator. Take the coolant reserve/overflow tank hose off the top of the radiator and remove the coolant reserve/overflow tank by lifting it directly out of the fan shroud. Remove the
Power Steering Hoses from the fan shroud, take off the connectors at the windshield washer tank and get rid of the tank. Remove the bolts holding the fan shroud and pull it away from the radiator tank, making sure it is seated backward above the fan blades next to the engine. Release the transmission cooler lines from the transmitter cooling system and link the lines and cooler to prevent any leakage. Just as before, detach the power steering lines from the
Power Steering Cooler and then put plugs into the ends and connect the cooler as well. Remove the two top radiator mounting screws and gently pull the radiator straight out up and out, making sure you do not touch or damage the cooling tubes or fins on the radiator and oil coolers during removal.
