How to service and repair the Power Steering Hose and line on Dodge Ram 1500 Van?

The first thing to do when working on the power steering line and hose is to drain the power steering system. Thereafter, remove the washer bottle and the coupler bolt from the gear so you have more space to deal with the lines. Carry on by removing the pressure and return line for the power steering from the gear. For the pressure and return lines, first connect them to the gear and tighten them up to 35 Nm (25 ft. lbs.). After that, put the coupler on the gear and tighten it to a torque of 49 Nm (36 ft. lbs.). Attach the bottle to the washer and completely refill the steering system with power fluid.
