Start with removing the front springs, sway bar, outer tie rod ends and brake rotors to work on the front crossmember. If your vehicle is equipped with anti-lock sensors, loosen both the brake rotor dust shield/backing plates and these sensors. Set Tool C-3487-A underneath the engine, using frame hooks or a similar tool and take out the lower engine-mount nuts as well as the mounting bolts for the crossmember. With the old crossmember removed, put the new one in place, install its bolts and tighten them to 115 N.m (85 ft.lbs.). Replace the lower engine-mount nuts next and tighten them to 102 N.m (75 ft.lbs.) before you get rid of the engine support fixture. Tighten all the brake rotor parts and the anti-lock sensor if it is included, then install the brake rotors, connect the outer tie rod ends, position the stabilizer bar and place on the front springs, finishing before aligning.
