How to service and repair the rear exterior Door Handle on Dodge Ram 2500 Van?

To service and repair the rear door exterior handle, first open the rear cargo door and remove the trim panel from the door inner panel. Disconnect the outside door handle rod from the latch lever and remove the nuts that attach the handle to the door outer panel, then take the handle out. For installation, position the handle on the door outer panel with the handle rod inserted in the opening and the handle studs aligned with the panel holes. Attach the handle rod to the latch, install the nuts to secure the handle to the door outer panel, and reinstall the door trim panel. For the rear cargo door outside handle/latch lever, insert a 4 mm (5/32 in.) hex-wrench through the adjustment slot into the latch release lever adjustment screw and loosen it. Depress and release the door outside handle latch release button several times, then tighten the adjustment screw to 3 N.m (30 in. lbs.) torque and test the door handle for correct operation.
