Raise and prop up the car, take off the wheel and then swap out the front brake rotor/disc. Keep the markings on the rotor and hub/bearing so they stay in the same original orientation, since front rotors and hub/bearings are designed to be matched installed for smallest lateral runout. After that, take out the caliper adapter mounting bolts (3) and unhook the caliper adapter from the steering knuckle. Bolt up the caliper anchor assembly with a wire to a close-by part of the suspension, preventing the brake hose from holding the caliper. Subsequent to this, separate and throw away the o-ring (2) fastening the disc brake rotor (1) to the hub and finally take off the disc brake rotor from the hub/bearing.
