    Before removing the stand-alone type power mirror switch, unhook and isolate the negative terminal of the battery. Working around the outside of the power mirror switch using a trim stick or similar tool, carefully pry to release the clips that keep the switch in place. Draw the power mirror switch away from the trim panel as far as it can go, so that you can access the door wire harness connector. Remove the wire harness connector from the switch and pull the switch free from the trim panel. At installation, attach the stand-alone power mirror switch to the door trim panel and link the door harness of the power mirror switch to the connector receptacle on the switch. Work the switch down until the clips click into the panel behind the mirror. Attach the battery negative cable.
