Before you begin, release the fuel system pressure because it stays under tension even when the engine isn't operating. Before anything else, take off the cap on the fuel tank feed tube and afterward, remove the negative
Battery Cable. Following this, get rid of the
Throttle Body Air Duct and air box and then remove the air resonator bracket with just two screws. Connect the fuel line to a disconnect tool and pull it away from the fuel rail and then remove any vacuum lines from the throttle body. Disconnect each of the six
Fuel Injectors by pushing the red slider away and pressing down on the tab. Injectors should be tagged, so if that's not already done, I need you to tag them and note the wiring location if the tagging isn't there yet. In addition, disconnect all wiring from the throttle body sensors and remove the six
Ignition Coils. Afterward, take out the four fuel rail mounting bolts. Rock and slide the left side of the fuel rail gently to remove each injector from the machined hole and then repeat for the right side until all are cleared. Now, detach both the fuel rail with its injectors from the engine. If fuel injectors have to be taken out, proceed using the proper steps for their removal.
