You should start by taking off the skid plate before servicing the rear cross-member. Use a suitable lifting device to hold the transmission firmly, then remove the four bolts at 1 and the eight bolts at 2 to take away the crossmember. Place and secure the crossmember using the eight crossmember bolts 2, tighten them to 54 N.m (40 ft.lbs). When the lifting device is removed, insert the four transmission mount bolts 1, tightening them to 54 N.m (40 ft.lbs) before reinstalling the skid plate.
