  To put in the steering knuckle, connect it first to the vehicle. After that, slide the lower Ball Joint into the knuckle and screw it in place with the DIN torque of 95 Nm (70 ft.lbs.). Put the upper ball joint into the knuckle, secure it with the upper ball joint nut and then tighten all to 95 Nm (70 ft.lbs.). Initially attach the outer rod end to the steering knuckle and then tighten the hub/bearing to 115 Nm (85 ft.lbs.) When your vehicle is four-wheel drive, make sure to put in and firmly tighten the axle shaft nut to 135 Nm (96 ft.lbs.). After that, fit the wheel speed sensor and twist the wire back into the knuckle. Next, put in the disc brake rotor and the adapter for the caliper and after that, mount the tire and wheel assembly. As the final step, have your vehicle's wheel alignment checked.

  First, elevate and support the vehicle and afterwards remove the tire and wheel assembly to expose the front steering knuckle. Don't allow the disc Brake Caliper to hang from the brake hose, as it could be damaged; make sure the caliper is properly supported. After that, pull off the brake caliper (1) and the caliper adapter (1). Throw away the o-ring (2) and next, remove the brake rotor (1). Remove the bolt (2) holding the wheel speed sensor and pull the wire free from the metal clips. If your vehicle uses four-wheel drive, unscrew the axle shaft nut. After that, unfasten the hub/bearing (3) and unscrew the retaining nut at the other side of the outer tie rod end. Then, use special tool 8677 (5) to take off the outer tie rod end from the steering knuckle. Take out the lower Ball Joint nut and use C-4150A tool to disconnect the ball joint from the knuckle (1) successfully (2). After that, take off the nut holding the upper ball joint and detach upper ball joint (2) from knuckle (3) using tool 8677 (1). After that, discard the knuckle (4) that you removed earlier from under the vehicle.
