To get to the right front shock absors, first take away the air box cover and air intake hose, then detach the connector of the cruise control servo. After that, remove the bolt that secures the
Coolant Reservoir in place and push it off to the side. Take away all four shock upper nuts, lift your vehicle and then take the tire off. After removing the two caliper adapter bolts, gently lift the caliper to ensure the hose isn't hanging and then take off the brake rotor. Loosen the upper
Ball Joint nut and separate the upper ball joint and knuckle with special tool 8677. Remove the stabilizer bolt at the lower
Control Arm, then remove the lower clevis bolt and when needed, take the shock and spring out of the vehicle. Once the shock is attached to your vehicle, join the clevis bracket and tighten until you feel 122 Nm of force. Slot in the shock assembly, fasten each of the four upper shock nuts to 95 Nm, re-attach the coolant reservoir bolt, reconnect the cruise control servo wiring and put the air box cover and air intake hose back on. Raise the vehicle, place in the lower stabilizer bolt, secure the lower clevis bolt after and tighten them both to 169 Nm. Secure the upper ball joint in the knuckle using a nut force of 75 Nm and then tighten the bolts that connect the brake rotor and caliper adapter to 176 Nm. Afterwards, apply the wheel and tire combo and get the vehicle down to the ground. For the left front, take off the air box cover and air intake hose and then remove the three PDC bracket nuts to slide the PDC out of the way for the upper shock mount nuts. The process is the same for removing the
Brake Caliper, disc brake rotor and ball joint, after you lift the vehicle and remove the tire. Join the clevis bracket to the shock first and tighten it with 122 Nm, following this step by installing the assembly and tightening the four upper shock nuts with 95 Nm. Fit the three lower bracket bolts, lift up the vehicle and tighten the controls arm bolt to 115 Nm and the lower clevis bolt to 169 Nm. Once everything is ready above, bolts all the upper ball joint, disc brake rotor, caliper adapter and reinstall the whole tire and wheel assembly prior to lowering your car.
