Removing the fuel rail is the first step in servicing and repairing the fuel injector. Break the clips that hold the fuel injectors to the fuel rail. After that, put the fuel injectors into the fuel rail assembly and attach them with the retaining clips. When you use the same injectors again, use new O-rings-the black one is installed on the intake manifold side and the red/rust colored one on the fuel rail side. Touch a small part of engine oil on each injector O-ring before putting it in. Lastly, position the fuel rail onto the engine, turn on the engine and look out for leakage.
