How to Service and Repair the Front Sway Bar Bushing on Jeep Grand Cherokee?

To fix the sway bar bushing at the front, lift the car, support it, then open the front splash shield. After that, unfasten both end retainer bracket bolts and the bushing clamp, plus the sway bar bushing. To put on the part, slide the bushings onto the bar, attach them with the bracket bolts and secure them with the two mounting bolts. After that, replace the front splash shield and bring the car down from its lift.

How to Service a Sway Bar Bushing in the Front Suspension on Jeep Wrangler?

Before serving the front suspension sway bar bushing, raise and support the vehicle. With the lower bolt from the left axle loose, remove the left upper sway bar link nut which gives enough clearance to disconnect the right sway bar link from the bar without removing the whole link. Following this, use a wrench to unscrew the right upper sway bar link nut and afterwards take out the splash shield. Unbolt the two brackets (3) mounted on the sway bar and joining it to any side of the frame. Bend open the retaining tabs (1) on the sway bar brackets (1) if you can, but it's acceptable if they break being meant for factory use. Easy the retainer bracket (2) out and then slide each bushing (3) free of the sway bar with soapy water.
