How to Service and Repair a Door Lock Cylinder on 2000 Dodge Durango?

The first step in servicing a door lock cylinder is to remove the door trim panel and the outside handle. After that, pull the lock cylinder off the latch rod. With a small, flat screwdriver, remove the clip that holds the lock cylinder inside the lock and in the lock handle and pull the lock cylinder out of its housing. While installing the lock, press the cylinder into its holder and secure the retaining clip. First, insert the lock cylinder into the latch rod and then add the removable trim and door handle again.
