  A: It is important to remove the negative cable from the battery before working on the power seat switch. Then, remove the screw that holds the recliner lever to the release shaft on the outboard side of the driver's seat and pull the lever from the shaft. Detach the three screws holding the driver side seat cushion side shield to the frame, then separate the shield from the frame to get to the wire harness connector for the power seat switch. Take out the wire harness connector from the power seat switch module and pull off the side shield and the module as one piece. Undo the two screws holding the switch to the side shield of the cushion and once done, pull out the mechanism. Unwind any steps you completed for removal and then tighten the screws in the switch mount to 2.2 Nm (20 in. lbs.).
