  • Q: How to Maintain a Power Window Switch on 2000 Dodge Durango?
    A: First, take care of the battery by disconnecting and isolating the negative cable before handling the power window switch. To work on the driver side front door, first remove the trim panel inside the car and afterwards unscrew the power window and lock switch unit from the door switch panel opening. After that, take out the power window and lock switch, along with the switch bezel, from the door trim panel. Install Ad-Ons by using the steps above in reverse and set the screws to 2.2 Nm (20 in. lbs.) after they're tight. With the passenger door, evenly separate the battery negative wire from the battery, after which, detach the trim piece inside the front or back passenger door. Take your thin-bladed screwdriver and gently pry open the snap clips lining the sides of the switch receptacle on the back of the door trim panel switch bezel. Use your tool to pull the switch from its receptacle. To install, put the switched snap retainers back in the receptacle on the back of the switch bezel on the door trim panel.
