How to Maintain a Harmonic Balancer and Crankshaft Pulley on 2000 Dodge Stratus?

The first step in changing the harmonic balancer or crankshaft pulley is to remove all accessories drive belts. Then, drive the car onto a hoist and take off the inner splash shield on the right. After that, remove the crankshaft damper bolt and place insert 6827-A in the large end of Special Tool 1026 to take out the damper. Install the crankshaft damper with an M12-1.75 x 150 mm bolt, washer, thrust bearing and nut from Special Tool 6792 and torque the crankshaft damper bolt to 142 Nm (105 ft. lbs.). After that, reinstall the accessory drive belts and the right inner splash shield.
