A: To service the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor, empty the cooling system to prevent injury. Access to the sensor in the thermostat housing is achieved by disconnecting the wire running to it by removing it. Install the new sensor using sealant, tighten to 11 Nm, reconnect wire and refill cooling system.
