How to service a Blower Motor Resistor on 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

First thing to do when servicing the blower motor resistor is to disconnect and separate the battery negative wire. After that, press the locking tab and separate the wire harness connector from the blower motor resistor or controller (power module) and then remove the connector from the blower motor. Loosen and remove the two screws that hold the blower motor resistor/controller to the heater-A/C housing and carefully extracted the piece. The blower motor resistor or controller should be installed inside the heater-A/C housing, facing the proper way and tighten its mounting screws to 2.2 Nm (20 in. lbs.) during installation. First, link the wire harness connector again with the blower motor resistor or controller and next, link the blower resistor or controller to the blower motor. After that, attach the black battery cable once more.
