2000 Jeep Wrangler Fuse Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Remove and Install the Fuse in the Power Distribution Center (PDC) on 2000 Jeep Wrangler?
A: This vehicle needs to have its Ignition-Off Draw (IOD) fuse which is in fuse cavity 25 of the Power Distribution Center (PDC), put back in after shipping from the factory. Before changing the IOD fuse, make sure the ignition is switched off to stop the radio display from being scrambled and if this happens, turning the ignition off and reinstalling the fuse usually fixes the problem. Unlatch and open the PDC cover, then unplug the IOD fuse while the ignition is off, insert its terminal blades into the empty fuse cavity 27 and place the IOD fuse aside. After completing the job, close and latch the PDC cover. When putting in the IOD fuse, again switch off the ignition, unlatch and lift the PDC cover, take out the IOD fuse from its fuse cavity, put it in the IOD fuse slot in fuse cavity 25, press the fuse firmly down and seal the PDC cover.
