How to Maintain and Fix a Brake Proportioning Valve on 2001 Chrysler PT Cruiser?

In order to fix the brake proportioning valve, isolate the master cylinder with a brake pedal holder. Take in the air cleaner so that it is accessible, disconnect the brake tube, and unscrew the valve. Apply lubrication onto the new O-ring, and fit it into place. Install parts, empty the brake line and test the brakes.
