How to Service and Repair a Brake Proportioning Valve on 2002 Chrysler PT Cruiser?

The brake proportioning valve can be fixed by pushing the brake pedal when the master cylinder is to be isolated. Lift the air cleaner lid and detach the brake tube, and unscrew the valve. Apply lubricant to the new O-ring and install it and tighten connections. Install the components again, bleed brakes line and test brakes.
