2001 Chrysler Sebring Blend Door Actuator Parts and Q&A
Q: How to replace a Blend Door Actuator on 2001 Chrysler Sebring?
A: You should remove the negative battery cable for 60 seconds before you remove the blend door actuator, to allow the software calibration process to begin. First, disconnect the negative battery cable; after that, remove the floor console, rear heat ducts and HVAC housing. Now, uncouple the electrical cable from the actuator and after unscrewing the attaching screws, pull straight down on the actuator and keep track of its shaft location to help with installation. Set up the blend door actuator so the shaft spline connects correctly with the cam, before fixing the actuator in place. Attach the wire harness connector to the actuator, put the HVAC housing, rear heat ducts and floor console back into place and then attach the negative battery cable.
