2001 Chrysler Sebring Lash Adjuster Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Service and Repair a Lash Adjuster with Camshafts Installed on 2001 Chrysler Sebring?
A: When doing lifter and lash adjuster service and repairs inside the vehicle with the camshafts in place, begin by removing the head cover, the rocker arm and each hydraulic lifter. If you want to use the lifters again, write on each one to show where it belongs, since lifters are assembled as a single unit. Before installing, verify that hydraulic lifters have enough oil to prevent much plunger movement each time you press; keep adding more till it's all right, then follow by installing the hydraulic lifter and rocker arm in the same way for all lifters before placing the cylinder head cover.
