If you are servicing or repairing hydraulic lash adjusters, begin by taking off the cylinder head cover(s) and rocker arm(s) and don't forget to mark the position of both when you take them off, in case you plan to reuse them. Then, take off any lash adjusters you use. When installing, check that the hydraulic lash adjuster contains sufficient oil, so pressing the adjuster turns the plunger just a little. In the end, put back the rocker arm(s) and the cylinder head covers.
