How to Service and Repair Exhaust Valve and Intake Valves on 2001 Dodge Neon?

The first step to servicing or repairing the valve is taking out the valve spring. With the valve stem still in place, scrape out any burr marks from the lock grooves to save the valve guides and check which valve belongs where. After that, take out the valve(s) from the cylinder head. Coat the valve stems with clean engine oil before you insert the valve into the cylinder head, after that, insert the valve seal and lastly, the valve springs.
