  A: At the beginning of the service process, block the battery system by cutting off the negative cable and then wait two minutes for the air bag system capacitor to discharge. Should the module be dropped, it must be replaced immediately. Pull the carpet on either side of the floor panel transmission tunnel backward so you can reach the air bag Control Module forward of the center console.
