How to Remove and Install the ABS Control Module on 2003 Chrysler PT Cruiser?

To take out the Electronic Brake Control Module (CAB), first take off the negative battery connection and raise the vehicle. Unplug the pump/motor connector from the CAB and then remove the four screws that secure the CAB to the HCU half of the ICU. After that, take the CAB away. Pull tug on the lock of the CAB connector to disconnect the 24-way wiring connector and take out the CAB from the vehicle. Connect the 24-way wiring connector to the CAB, put it in the connector lock and slowly release the latch. Set the CAB so that it sits above the HCU valves, slide it up over the HCU and tighten the four mounting screws to 2 Nm (17 in. lbs. Torque). Attach the pump/motor connector, raise the vehicle back up and link the rest of the negative battery cable. Connect the DRB III to the vehicle at the end to set up the system and address any issues by clearing them.
