How to Maintain and Fix an Antenna Cable on 2003 Chrysler PT Cruiser?

In order to fix the antenna cable, one should unplug the battery negative cable and take off the antenna mast. Unscrew the shroud, antenna nut and the connector, and unscrew the antenna body cable. Take out the antenna assembly on the fender, replace it with the new assembly and reconnect everything and then replace the battery.
