2003 Dodge Durango Fuel Injector Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Effectively Service and Repair a Fuel Injector on 2003 Dodge Durango?
A: Before servicing or repairing the fuel injector, lower the fuel system pressure first, since it's always under pressure when the engine is off. The first thing to do is remove the air cleaner assembly and then take out the fuel injector rail assembly. After that, remove the clips holding the injectors to the fuel rail and pull out the injectors. Once more, apply a little engine oil to all the O-rings of the fuel injectors before you put in the fuel rail. After that, place the injectors and their clips onto the fuel rail and finish by setting the fuel rail back securely in place. After that, reinstate the air cleaner, turn on the engine and inspect for any leaks.
