  A: Start by removing and isolating the battery's negative cable to cut off the air bag system on vehicles with air bags. Wait two minutes to let the capacitor discharge. Detach the negative battery wire and locate the outboard side of the steering column opening. There you will see the combination flasher connected to the instrument panel wire harness. To install the combination flasher, plug it into the connector at the instrument panel and push on it until the pins are completely inside. Top the location of the slot in the connector with the mark on the armature tab and then insert the flasher. Then, attach the battery's negative cable once more.
