To fix the rear axle shaft of the 8 1/4 inch axle, jack-knife the car, take out the wheel, tire and brake drum. Take off the lubricant on the drain, the pinion shaft and the axle shaft C-lock. Make sure that parts are correctly re-assembled, greased and properly aligned and screwed in and then lower the car.
