2004 Chrysler Pacifica TPMS Sensor Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Retrain TPMS Sensors for Early and Normal Build on 2004 Chrysler Pacifica?
A: Because the process for re-training the Tire Pressure Sensors depends on whether the vehicle is an Early Build or Normal Build, you have to first confirm the model. Train only one Early Build vehicle at a time so that training is not disturbed by neighboring vehicles. Quite often, before and after a wheel rotation or tire pressure sensor replacement, you need to retrain the sensors using Special Tool 8821. Start by turning on the key and pushing the Menu button on the instrument cluster multiple times until you see "Retrain Tire Sensors?" appears. Push the Step button to initiate training on the front left sensor and place the Re-learn Magnet over the valve stem. Your vehicle will chirp its horn after around 5 seconds to show the training is complete. Place the last three sensors following this order: Left Front, Right Front, Right Rear and Left Rear. If your choice says "Training Aborted," press and release the brake, move the vehicle about a foot and repeat the steps. After "Training Complete" is shown, you can press any button to leave the training routine. If you drive a Normal Build car and have a sensor replaced, leave it in park for at least 15 minutes and then drive above 13 mph (20 km/h) for five minutes to teach the vehicle the new sensor's code and remove any error messages. If training a sensor is not possible, we should use suitable diagnostic advice.
