How to Service a Wheel Hub on 2004 Dodge Dakota?

Before servicing the wheel hub, raise the vehicle and take off the wheel and tire assembly. After that, remove the brake caliper, rotor and ABS wheel speed sensor if you have one. Toss away the hub/bearing spindle nut, as you won't be able to use it again. Slide the hub/bearing out from the spindle. Slide the installation tool over the spindle, place a new bearing on it and then fit a fresh spindle nut on top, tightening the nut until it reaches 251 Nm (185 ft. lbs.). Replace the brake rotor, caliper and ABS wheel speed sensor if you have one, then put the wheel and tire assembly back in place. When you're done, lower and remove the support and then bring the vehicle down.
