2004 Dodge Durango Brake Disc Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service the Front Brake Disc on 2004 Dodge Durango?
A: First, lift and support the vehicle and then remove the wheel and tire. Then remove the caliper from the steering knuckle and pull out the caliper adapter assembly, not letting the brake hose hold the caliper adapter. Take the brake disc off of the hub/bearing wheel studs. Any model with an all-wheel antilock system should have their hub/bearing checked; if there's damage to the tone wheel, you must replace the whole hub/bearing unit as it's not serviced by itself. Put the new brake disc onto the hub/bearing wheel studs and then add the caliper adapter, securing the adapter bolts to 176 Nm. Connect the wheel and tire, drive the car down and use the brakes several times to set the brake pads.
