2004 Dodge Durango Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Remove and Install the Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor on 2004 Dodge Durango?
A: The IMT sensor is fitted into the left part of the intake manifold plenum. The first step to removing the sensor is to unplug the electrical connection from the IMT. Remove any dirt found at the sensor base on the intake manifold. Gently push in the tiny plastic tab and turn the sensor about one-quarter circle in an anticlockwise direction to remove it, then inspect the sensor O-ring. When setting up the sensor, check that the sensor O-ring is in working order and clean the hole where you'll attach the sensor in the intake manifold. Place the sensor into the intake manifold and turn it clockwise until the release tab is past, then connect the electrical wire.
