2004 Dodge Neon Fuse Box Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Replace a Faulty Fuse Box in the Power Distribution Center on 2004 Dodge Neon?
A: The lighting system in the PDC includes the head lamp and dash harness, so when any internal circuit is broken, the entire unit must be changed. Separate the battery negative cable from the battery before anything else. Remove the head lamp and dash wire harness connectors and break the fasteners securing the ground eyelets to various body and car parts. Detach the pins keeping the harness fixed to the car, then undo the pin at the dash panel and pull the cables from the vehicle. Take out the two screws to free the PDC housing from the left inner fender well and after that, unhook the PDC and head lamp and dash wire harness from the engine compartment as one piece. Additionally, place the grommet on the dash, then secure the PDC assembly into your car, lining up the mounting pin with the inner well hole in the fender. Lay the PDC component in the engine area and screw in the two retaining screws. Lead the head lamp and dash wire harness from the PDC through the engine and passenger area and connect each harness at its retainer to the right places on the vehicle body and chassis. Mount the fasteners keeping the ground eyelets in place, attach each dash and light harness connection, screw the nut retaining the positive battery cable in the PDC to exactly 14 N.m (123 in.lbs) and lastly connect the battery negative cable.
