How to Locate, Remove, and Install a Knock Sensor on 2004 Dodge Neon?

The sensor is fitted to the side of the cylinder block right before the starter, under the intake manifold. The sensor should be removed by detaching its electrical connection, taking out the pin and releasing it with a crow foot socket. Properly secure the knock sensor by tightening the bolt to 22 N-m (195 in. lbs.), as doing it wrong can cause issues related to spark control. After that, connect the electrical connector back to the knock sensor.
