2004 Jeep Liberty Coil Springs Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Maintain and Fix Coil Springs on 2004 Jeep Liberty?
A: Before servicing the front coil spring, lift the vehicle, then take out the wheel and tire assembly. After that, remove the side shock using the manufacturer's recommended steps. Pop the shock assembly into a Pentastar Service Equipment W-7200 Spring compressor to compress the spring. After compressing, unbolt the shock mount nut and remove the shock from the spring compressor. Move the parts required for the repair, Insulator, Spring, shock and mount, to another work surface. During installation, attach the shock and the spring compressor together, placing each part as explained. mount the shock bracket nut and make sure it's tightened to 41 Nm (30 ft. lbs.). Take the spring apart and put the shock assembly away from the spring compressor. Next, place the shock where it belongs, fasten the wheel and tire assembly, abolish the support and put the vehicle down.
