How to Maintain and Fix a Fuel Injector on 2004 Jeep Liberty?

The fuel rail should be removed in order to service and repair the fuel injector along with removing the fuel injectors from the fuel rail where they are clipped into the fuel rail. The fuel injectors are then installed into the fuel rail assembly and retain with the retaining clip(s).. If you have to reinstall the same injectors make sure to use new O rings. Put small amount of clean engine oil on O ring of each injector to ease the installation. Reinstall the fuel rail, start the engine and check for fuel leaks, as usual.
