How to Service and Repair a Fuel Injector on 2005 Jeep Liberty?

Remove the fuel rail as the first step in maintenance and repair of the fuel injector. Cut the clip(s) keeping the fuel injector(s) together with the fuel rail. After that, place the fuel injectors within the fuel rail assembly and hold them in position using the retaining clip(s). If you are putting back the same injectors, change the O-rings on each injector, with a black O-ring on the intake manifold end and a red or rust colored O-ring on the side facing the fuel rail. Use a small amount of clean engine oil on each of the O-rings for the injectors as you set them up. Lastly, replace the fuel rail, run the engine and inspect it for any leaks.
