How Does Wheelhouse Handle Front Splash Shield Service and Repair on 2004 Jeep Liberty?

Start by raising and supporting your car before working on the front wheelhouse splash shield. Use the wheel to reach the spots where fasteners are located when you need them. Get rid of the four rivets joining the flare to the splash shield, the one rivet connecting the splash shield to the side sill molding and the three screw/rivets holding the splash shield to the fascia. Once the four push pin fasteners are gone, remove the splash shield. Put the splash shield into place above the wheel opening flare molding and fasten it with the four push pin fasteners. After that, screw the three raw bolts that hold the splash shield to the fascia, then install the four raw bolts that fasten the flared section to the splash shield and finally, fasten the splash shield to the side sill molding with the last raw bolt.
