2004 Jeep Wrangler Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Remove and Install the Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor on 2004 Jeep Wrangler?
A: The intake manifold temperature (IMT) sensor can be found at the back of the intake manifold plenum. Disconnect the electrical connector from the IMT sensor, then clear any dirt found at the sensor base in the intake manifold. After that, push down the little plastic tab then turn the sensor a quarter turn counterclockwise to remove it, checking if the O-ring is in good shape. When installing the sensor, check that the O-ring is in good shape and clean out the sensor hole in the intake manifold. Put the sensor in the intake manifold and twist it clockwise past the release tab, after which attach the electrical connector.
