How to Maintain and Fix an Exhaust Hanger on 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser?

Access to the hanger on the exhaust pipe/muffler is done by initially disconnecting the isolator from the component. After that, unscrew the isolator bracket from the vehicle frame and remove the assembly. When installing, fasten the bracket to the underbody with screws and tighten the bracket screws on the rear panel to 3.7 Nm (33 inch lbs.); fasten the other screws from the underbody to the frame rail to 8.5 Nm (75 inch lbs.). After that, attach the isolator to the exhaust system piece.
