How to Service and Repair the Canister Purge Valve on 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser?

Always begin by taking the negative battery cable off before servicing the Canister Purge Valve. Pull on the tab after finding the valve attached to the mounting bracket which will release it. Disconnect the electrical connection to the purge valve and afterward take out the 2 vacuum lines. After taking out the valve, attach the 2 vacuum lines together, snap the electrical connector onto the purge valve, reinstall the valve on the mounting bracket and connect the negative battery cable at the end.
