How to Service and Repair an Input Speed Sensor on 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser?

First, off the ground to remove the battery cables. Start by uninstalling the air cleaner before unclamping and removing the battery from its tray. Take the input speed sensor out by removing the connector and unscrewing it. Then check the O-ring to see if it needs to be changed. Position the O-ring correctly, fit and secure the input speed sensor to a tightness of 27 Nm (20 ft. lbs.) and after that attach the speed sensor connector. Install the battery tray next, then the battery and its hold down clamp and finally put the air cleaner assembly back. When both are done, reconnect the battery cables.
