How to Service and Repair an Input Speed Sensor on 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser?

Before servicing the input speed sensor, first take the battery cables off. Remove the air cleaner assembly, then get rid of the battery hold down clamp and the battery. After that, pull out the battery tray and take out the input speed sensor connector. Take out the input speed sensor and replace the speed sensor o-ring if it is damaged. While installing, place the o-ring correctly, bolt the input speed sensor to 27 Nm (20 ft. lbs.) and plug in the speed sensor connector. After reinstalling the battery tray, put in the battery and hold it down with the clamp, next connect the air cleaner assembly and then attach the battery cables.
