  A: To service or repair the brake master cylinder, first push the brake pedal five times to remove vacuum from the booster unit, then empty the brake fluid from the siphon tube in the reservoir. Take out the electrical connector for a low fluid warning and put a towel or rag below the brake master cylinder outlet port to prevent damage to the car from excess fluid. Pull out the brake lines, as well as the four bolts fastening the brake master cylinder. Remove the assembly, moving it away from the booster, trying your best to avoid twisting it sideways so you do not affect the booster output rod or move it out of place.
